Forums - Gaming - Sony show off dozens of PS3 games at Gamer Day Event

Pretty impressive. I'm still looking forward to seeing Sony crash and burn, but there are some very nice games coming out. Anyone else notice how the top of the list is dominated by first/second party games btw? The list doesn't even include whatever the guys who did Shadow of the Colossus and God of War are working on. Sony has definitely become a major gaming software company during the last few years. Of course they don't seem to have much in the way of third party exclusives, which is exactly what ended Nintendo's dominance a decade ago.

Although I'm a Nintendo fanboy at heart, my opinion on the PS3 changed when I saw the LittleBigPlanet videos from GDC. Can't wait for it to come out. *sigh* Seems I have to purchase that expensive console after all. Though the pretty HD gfx won't do much to me, won't be able to buy a HDTV any time soon.

actually you probably could.

does it have to be a brand name, how big and what about used or refurbished ?

No it doesn't... but as a student I haven't got the big cash. Don't forget, the PS3 itself + the game + the TV. Then there are some Wii must haves this summer/fall that come first
