The Wii wasn't "the next version of Gamecube," but that doesn't mean it wasn't a home console.  The only thing they're saying for sure is that they're losing the Wii name and concept.

Actually Zelda U will in development around 5 years when it will be released next year.

And yes, Zelda U very likely will be ported for NX, so really don't need for another thread..

Also, feel free to read the whole article where they say the NX will be something completely different (read gadget) and that the Wii U isnt going anywhere, where he concludes with my quote. The NX is NOT the sucessor to the Wii U.

All Nintendo consoles before the Wii U had an exclusive Zelda, the Wii U should have an exclusive Zelda too.

NX is probably the next handheld and the home console part is not even in the rumors yet, that's my speculation.

I'm using the same articles and quotes that you are.  They're saying it will be different, but they haven't explicitly said that it's not a home console, or at least not designed to act as the next home console.  Again, they probably also considered the Wii to be very different from the Gamecube, but it was still their home console.

You could very well be right, but they haven't directly stated it one way or the other.  Based on what they've said, it could just be the next home console that is very different from anything they've made before.  We're both equally unknowing of what it will be.

Im sure they will remake it for the u nx whatever.

Do you really think Zelda U will sell 5 million copies? Mario Kart 8 sold 5.5 million, and the best selling Zelda game sold 7.6 million with a much bigger install base. It will sell around 2-3 mil.
