Even discounting the 13 seconds, they showed it twice already, with the last time being a year ago, and it's supposed to release a year from now after knowing it's been in development since 2012. Obviously they coulda showed more if they wanted.

I doubt it'll release in 2016. mid to late 2017 is when I think it'll release.

If it does however release in 2016, specifically early-mid 2016; then yes they would have had gameplay and fucked up by not showing.

you really dont think it will be released next year? casue if it gets pushed back to 2017 then their screwed

the stuff i have seen about it on forums barely talks about the games. its really just discussion on when its coming out and if its going to NX or not. But all press is good press i guess

How long did Zelda U get announced? last year? Fallout 4 didnt get an official annoucement until e3 THIS year. and from then it was non stop information with a full trailer until the release and even after. Now how you can compare that to Zelda U's 13 seconds after a year and a half is beyond me. but OK.

As for Facebook no, it didnt pop up on my feed or anyone else's feed UNLESS they were already interested in the game to begin with, but you ignore Twitter which is a much better indicator cause they have the trending topics right there for you to see, guess which game never popped up? And Spatoon got WAY mroe coverage than Zelda are you kidding? thats one of the games that Ninty actually seemed to give a damn about.

Tomb Raider stopped getting hyped when they realized Fallout 4 was comign the same day and lets be real TR didnt get that much to begin with.

His point is the game should be continuosly hyped while everyone else is simply saying the's no real point now when it's not close to release, we all knew F4 was coming but only saw anything in the 6 months to launch meaning a prolonged hype campaign like what you and him claim is not needed, not hard to grasp and a fair comparison.

Again if you didn't conveniently notice it that's not my issue, ofcourse Splatoon got more coverage it's a new IP and was approaching release same thing will happen when Zelda approaches release.

There's nothing to talk about. People already talked the crap out of it last year.

It has strikingly few articles for a game that's supposed to be high profile. The big gaming news sites barely mention it. Forums discussing it aren't very active compared to other big games.

I refuse to bet on such nebulous terms. "As well as any of the previous games" is too broad and open to interpretation.

So in other words you don't have any confidence in your own argument to bet on it.

You haven't defined clear criteria of what such a bet would be. Selling "as well as any of the previous games" is too vague and open to interpretation, as previous mainline Zelda games range in sales from 7.6 million to 3.36 million in sales.

I don't know about Link Between Worlds, but Skyward Sword certainly had more awareness a year out; we'd gotten a proper gameplay trailer, and plenty of uncut gameplay.

But Zelda U? Beyond the hardcore Nintendo fanbase, its existence is barely even acknowledged.

This just isn't true. Almost every gamer (even those that are not Nintendo fans) is aware of existence of Zelda U game, even Nintendo showed so little about game, and definitely is one of the biggest game of this gen, not just of next year.

No. Just no.

Zelda U will not even break the top 20 highest selling games of this gen.

It would be better for nintendo if we talked about what we look forward to seeing, not whether the game should be ported...

the solution is to actually show more

So you saying that best selling games equals biggest games of gen!? That not true of course, Last Of Us for instance was one of the biggest games of last gen and wasn't in the top 20 highest selling games of previous gen.

and my point is that it is unusual to have a game of this caliber be in development for so long and have so little to show, even comparing to other games in the series. Its not hard to grasp

ROFL

The likes of FFXV, HL2 etc... all say hi, Zelda U is not even close to what some other games have been like, it's like you've either been living under a rock for the past 30 years of gaming or new to it in general to come up with a post like this or maybe you didn't have a leg to stand on to begin with so improvised any old post as an attempt for a rebuttal.
