No Man's Sky will hopefully redefine the concept of video games.

Console Zelda games have only gone down in rating ever since Occarina of Time so i wouldn't bet on Zelda Wii-U making it.

And also I don't think is true. Pretty sure WW is above MM, and TP is above WW isn't it? 

I can't see anything ever beating the 99 of Ocarina of Time.

Wind Waker (96) did beat Majora's Mask (95). Twilight Princess went down but only 1 point and still a 95 game. Skyward Sword (93) is slightly lower but keep in mind that most criticism from mixed reviews was aimed at the motion control( which won't be an issue in Zelda U). And 93 is still pretty close. 

edit: Twilight Princess on GC did score 96 and beat Wind Waker. Less reviews though

I hope Final Fantasy XV is.

Not trying to say the game won't be great (I do think it looks amazing), but I suspect you might be setting yourself up for some major disapointment because that is a very ambitious statement...

Outside of OTT, the series has been pretty consistent as far as metascores go (95 -> 96 -> 95 -> 93). There has technically been a downward trend with the last 3, but it's so slight (especially when you consider the inevitable degree of variance you get with metascores) that i'd consider it functionally irrelevant as far as predicting how ZeldaU will perform.

On a personal note, i wouldn't even give SS a 6. I think a degree of bitterness might be clouding my perception

Yeah, I know! It is the game that is supposed to make me buy a PS4! Still hoping it will be great...

I fucking hate threads like this. People are more obsessed with aggregated average scores than the actual games.

My top 20 games are based on my favourite games, not at all influenced by what critics think or sales figures. If I love a game I couldn't give a monkeys how it performed critically or commercially.

Another thing I hate is when people assume that the opinions of hardcore gamers on forums should be treated as the collective consensus when talking about what games are 'worthy' of being considered the best, obvious nonsense.

I'm not picking on Nintation360 personally, this is just something that's always bothered me when gamers act like machines obsessed with compiling and comparing data rather than talking about why they love about their favourite games.
