If you compare their first four albums to metallicas first four im definately a Megadeth fan. After 1990 they both sucked equally though in my opinion.
Megadeth could have been great, but for me Rust In Peace was the last album that worked as a whole. They've had some individual songs after that, Symphony Of Destruction was definately a masterpiece, but the overall quality has varied too much from total nonsense to pure genius. Sometimes in the same song (check out Sweating Bullets for example). Still, even having said that, one of my favourite bands of all time.

OMFG DAVE FTW! there new album isnt there greatest but its still one of the best ones of today. I miss Marty :(

Rust in peace was my fav hands down, everytime i hear Hanger 18 i get goosbumps :D

its more of a guitar album than singing its good to see them go back to their roots :D

Marty Friedman is an amazing player. It was awful that he didnt get to showcase his true talents while he was with Megadeth in the 90s. Only through his solo stuff and side projects that most people didnt get exposed to. If anyone has heard of the band Tourniquet check out there album "Where Moth and Rust Destroy". Marty does 90% of the guitar solos on it and some of them are just mind blowing.
