Forums - Nintendo - I'm not getting Xenoblade Chronicles X because it's too confusing.

If people stick to this attitude of not trying something new for what ever reason then don'task for new IPs or anything of the such especially if the game game is well received, Xenoblade has shown itself to be a master class RPG and the following game looks set to continue the trend. If you at least give the game a go then alright as it's not for you but it's far different playing a game then watching a playthrough or preview,

That's understandable. Halfway through the last Survival Guide, the narrator seemed to have become nothing but noise. I had to focus again.

The game looks very overwhelming. But I bet it will introduce all the features to the players slowly. There's no rush to escape from the aliens anyway, might as well take our time figuring out how to use the gamepad haha.

If you're still interested, do as they say and try something simpler. Just not Final Fantasy VIII. I would recommend you to start with Eternal Sonata.

This will be a little embarrassing: I have visited this site for many years, stil I do not know where to find official threads

There is no special way to do it.  Click forums on the top of the screen.  Then, on the top right, you'll see a search bar.  Type what you're looking for (like Xenoblade) in the bar, and you'll see what topics there are about it.

In the case of a big release like Xenoblade, if you just go to the appropriate forum (i.e. Nintendo discussion) you'll probably find it.

Thanks!

It looks to japanese too me
and with the removal of the boob slider i am really doubting the pruchase

I like this thread because honestly I was kind of thinking the same thing.. Like I don't really have enough time to play this game i feel.. I mean how long does it take to do the story if I avoid most of the side missions? does anyone have any idea? Because I really don't have 50 hours to put into a game at this point in my life I can play a game for 2 hours probably one day a week and maybe 30 minutes here and there lol. It sucks I know. I want this game but just dont know if its worth it for me.

Oh Lord, it will be MUCH MUCH more than 50 hours, even avoiding side missions. Xenoblade Chronicles for the Wii took me about 150, and this looks bigger in every aspect.

Well I just heard the reviewer at gamespot spent 65 hours on the game I am assuming he must of beaten it to do the review and im sure he did some side missions as well. So thats not too bad I might get it.

I wouldn't be so sure he beat the game. Many others said they have put in 80ish hours and haven't beaten the game.

In fact, from the Gamespot review. "After 65 hours doggedly chasing the next best thing in X, I felt like I had only scratched the surface, with game's the biggest challenges still ahead of me."

So no, the game wasn't beaten by the reviewer in 65 hours. I just want you to be fully prepared for what you are going to get into. It has been said many times by many reviewers, X is simply not a game you can rush through.

THAT is a horrible reason to not get it!
Get the Wii (non x) version and play that, its actually not very hard to get into, and all those stats ect wont bother you at all.

You should play just dance or something simple like that.

No need to be harsh

Xenoblade Chronicles is confusing as well, but I got used to it really quick

Truth. I don't fault anyone who is intimidated by Xenoblade X. This looks like it will be a VERY in depth game, bringing back the feeling of the origins of jrpgs (the depth of tabletop Dungeon and Dragons games with spreadsheet after spreadsheet of info the player needs to manage). It will no doubt be one of the most challenging jrpgs in a long time, but those are the games I remember loving. Its obvious that this game isn't going to appeal to everyone.

He beat the game. No reviewer can review a game at a reputable site like gamespot without beating the game. He even talks about the dragged out story. I just want you to know that he beat the game lol. People who spent 80 hours and have not beat the game probably are doing side missions and exploring and leveling up.
