Hope he doesn't get in then, thats the last thing we need...

Again. You can't sit in the pew of your church and not have this rub off on you in some form. Look at his wife, "For the first time in my adult life, I am proud of America..." Can we say that her statement and her attendence of Trinity United Church are related? DEFINATELY! If she thinks this way, how does Obama think? Remember ALL Politicians are liars. |
I see you neatly sidestepped the point, ignoring it completely. Listen up - you can vote for McCain if you want. I'm not going to tell you that you can't, but don't fearmonger. Bush ran his campaign on fear. Dick Cheney IS the face of fear. Attack the issues, not the man, and you can't do that when all you do is spread fear and distrust over subjective qualities.
Anyone can take anything out of context, cherry pick from words to make them seem like something else.... which is exactly what I did in counterpoint to you, and I bet you didn't like it.
The only problem is, I really am concerned that John McCain wants a war against Islam, meaning continued war in Iraq AND Iran for the indefinite future, whether he actually believes the crap that pastor spews or not. I don't see John McCain as a fundie religious figure though, so it baffles me as to why he wants to continue the war.
I implore that you ignore the fearmongering from both Clinton and McCain, and just look at the heart of issues. If after looking at what these people stand for, the real ISSUES, and you still want to vote for them, then congratulations.. you have made an informed vote for the candidate that represents you.
But don't fearmonger. It's disgusting.

That was Huckabee, not McCain. I dont even think McCain has even used a hardcore religious stance on anything.
Im going to vote McCain because our country needs a strong, MODERATE, experienced candidate to run our nation. We need someone to fix our biggest problems not experiment on problems that can be fixed later on, aka health care. We have a disasterous war, a failing economy, and a country growing impatient. We need someone to not only be able to fix these problems effectively, but have enough experience in the matter to not go on other crusades like Hillary wants to.
Obama I feel has his heart in the right place, but he needs more experience. Another term as Senator and he would probably get my vote. I dont see McCain going for a second term if he wins, but we need a President like McCain to fix our problems now and to leave the foundation for someone to finisht he job later.

Just remember, Huckabee is the only gamer out of the bunch :)
Either way, McCain is a much better candidate than either of the Democrat candidates - Obama is a closet Muslim (which you can have your own views of, but would never get the respect of the general US populace if Muslim terrorists attacked again), and Clinton, despite her guise, has no actual experience leading anyone.
Interesting to see an Aussie endorse McCain, but hey - everything helps!
And I agree about McCain being a one-termer, I hope, should he get it, he wouldn't run a 2nd time, being as old as he is.
Back from the dead, I'm afraid.

Can you please name a single thing this guy has done to deserve to be called great. Can you even name any of his policies? |
The Religious Right despises the man, he's a fiscally conservative Republican, and he spent 5 1/2 years in the Hanoi Hilton.
That's enough for me. The dude is the Chuck Norris of Presidential candidates.

Just the opposite, actually. He basically killed his chance of a nomination in 2000 by going out of his way to slame the Religious Right.

I'm proud to be a Republican and I will back McCain a 100%
We will not let those liberal democrats take over and ruin our country!!!

Wow, Republicans????? Have you ever HEARD of Bush?????
