Dear all,

I'm currently facing a dilemma again. I'm in need of a shooter and was initially planning to buy Star Wars Battlefront (without thinking) but with only 2 modes and therefor 4 planets (soon 1 more) I felt that 50 EUR wasn't worth the given content, even with the new promise of more free DLC. However I'm a huge star wars fan and so I would have and still will love with all my heart a SW game as authentic as Battlefront, unfortunately it doesn't have the amount of content of Battlefront 2 (which is one of my favorite games ever).

I'm also a Battlefield fan. My first actual owned BF game was 1943 on PS3 and that one (with only 3 maps) I played for 2 - 3 dozen of hours. Bad Company 2 I got on PC and played 50+ hours and 10 more with the expansion, BF3 (PC) 100 + hours and bought the season pass. It all went wrong with BF4 (currently at 24 hours on PC but half of that time was broken, fixing issues, etc., don't have the season pass for this one). My PC version can't handle it higher than medium - 900p without aliasing and even then it still has issues so I moved on from PC gaming to solely console (till upgrade). And now with BF4 Premium only 20 dollars or something on the store (US) I'm wondering if I just should buy that one and wait for Star Wars to drop in price or get 2nd hand.

What should I choose? Here are the facts:

• Would pay around 50 EUR for Battlefront - Would pay around 20 USD [digital] for BF4 Premium
• Never liked BF4 because of broken (don't have DLC, played a year ago last time for checkout)
• Star Wars Episode 7 is coming!!
• Don't have much time to play games anyway (2-3 hours during the week, 4-6 hours weekend on average)
• Big playthroughs only during weekend
• I love Star Wars (movies, lore and battlefront games)
• I love Bad Company 2 , loved BF3, hated BF4 for (being broken, lag, rubber banding, crashes, framerate issues etc.)

If you want a hard core war shooter based on realism get battlefield 4. Great h lam game.

If you want a shooter that nails the look, feel, sound and fun of star wars get battlefront.

They are not competitors. I'm rank 130 on battlefield and over 40 on battlefront. I'm very happy with both so just choose which you want.

You can always buy the witcher 3 for 25 dollars in the US flash black Friday sale...

PS: Battlefield 4 >>> Battlefront, because B4 has a singleplayer+MP und battlefront only a online-mode (after 5 hours boring in my opinion)

I have thought a lot and in the end I bought Star Wars and The Witcher 3. The reason I got Star Wars is that Battlefield 4 really turned me off but if ever I can always but a cheap season pass for my PC version and enjoy it in 900p 60fps medium/high.

Another reason is time which I don't have much of so I won't be quickly bothered by the lack of content (hopefully with the battle of Jakku and their new promises better gradually). The Witcher 3 is for those day off moments. (Price I paid for SW Battlefront was 48 USD (digital version) and 20 USD for The Witcher 3 (because of a discount code I got).

As I still have funds on my EU account I'll probably get something else as well during these Black Friday moments :p

I got BF4 Premium when it was on sale on the PSN last week. Great deal and I really like it.
