Forums - Gaming - '16-bit' follow up to Retro City Rampage, "Shakedown Hawaii," announced!

“Shakedown Hawaii brings the Vblank open world universe into the 16-bit era, powered up with destructible environments and an arsenal of supercharged weapons. Taking place some thirty years after the events of Retro City Rampage, the game follows The Player as he comes out of early retirement to rebuild his neglected corporate empire.”

Here's a teaser trailer for the game!

It's coming to Steam, Playstation platforms, and Nintendo platforms! (Hope it comes to Xbox later)

I fucking LOVED Retro City Rampage, and this game looks fucking awesome! I've seriously been looking forward to a sequel and I was afraid we wouldn't see one for ages. Glad I was wrong! Are you as pumped as I am!?

I'm not kidding, I fucking loved that game and have been looking forward to a sequel. I was actually hoping for a "Retro City 64," but this is honestly awesome too, so I can wait!

Wishlisted!

You should! It's awesome!

Looks like it's gotten more detailed since Retro City Rampage which is nice to see, had some good fun with it on 3DS and a bit on PC, I'll be looking forward to this one.

Mankind, in its arrogance and self-delusion, must believe they are the mirrors to God in both their image and their power. If something shatters that mirror, then it must be totally destroyed.

Why they decided to spoof this cover I do not know

Dunno but it's a cool idea to spoof something which isn't obvious. Nice find.

The game looks glorious. Especially those smooth people animations. Love the colors too.

I genuinely thought it was a Gameinformer cover page when I posted this.

I saw the font of just the title, and I instantly recognized what it was from. One the first issues of GI that I got. Really obscure thing to emulate.
