It looks dreadfully boring. I'm not a party games hater, in fact, I somewhat enjoy Mario Party 10. But, if you mix a relaxed and charming franchise with a "party" game... I don't know, it's like the both things don't quite match.

Tbh you would think that the developers would have at least made this game their take on The Game of Life, then I think it would have had a chance of being a competent board game. I mean this game is no Fortune Street or Dokopon Kingdon.

Now that you said it, that would be a great idea. But, in the end, we've got this... "game". It was clearly a misstep from Nintendo from a quality point of view. But I won't be surprise that this will end selling well just because it has Animal Crossing in its title. If it was intended as a cash-grab, maybe they'll suceed, and that will be just sad.

I really hope it flops. And it really seems like is going to, and I'm happy about it.

This must be the shittiest game Nintendo has ever made and is important that they get a clear and contundent message with terrible sales.

It's funny how we as gamers forget that some games are made strictly for children. I'm not buying it but my Daughter wants it because she is 10.

That's not an excuse at all. Just because it's for kids, doesn't mean the game has to be garbage. There is much better games out there for kids.

This, a game like mario kart is geared for the young (while having universal appeal for all ages) and that is by no means an awful game.

sometimes, a game is just bad. Amiibo festival is one of those games.

The "Is for kid" excuse does not work for this one at all. A lot of games on WiiU can be played by kids and they are not awfull, Yoshi's Woolly World comes to my mind as a perfect exemple of a charming beautifull game with a flexible difficulty that can be highly appealing and enjoyed for kids, and that game is quite good.

It's currently Nintendo's lowest reviewed game of all time on Metacritic with a score of 35 lol

I wasn't even opposed to the idea of an Animal Crossing spinoff party game but it seems like there is really no gameplay at all... Maybe young kids will enjoy it though, I don't know

Am I a bad person for being happy with this? I felt like Nintendo threw shit at my face when announcing this during the Digital Event.

100% agree with this, if it aint made for "gamerz" then it sux. My daughter would absolutely love this, and I would probably get it for her eventually. God forbid that children are allowed to enjoy a game aimed toward them.

The kid thing does hold true with me though. This game is bright, inoffensive, can be played by any skill level, and is text heavy therefore helping my daughter improve her reading skills. I couldn't think of anything worse than a farm or rollercoaster simulator, but wont bitch about them because I know I am not the demograph these games are aimed at, and its the same with kids games.

Lol, I hope this sends a message to nintendo that garbage games with a strong brand name are not going to cut it in the future.

Games like this are a cancer of the industry.

Wow that's  gotta be the harshest criticism I've heard yet haha

While I wouldn't exactly go that far but it does reek of cheap cash in. I feel as though Nintendo should have just made the amiibos and be done with it.
