Cloudman said: Haha, at this point, I'm not sure if it's like amiibo or not. Though, with the Mewtwo thing, thinking on it, it doesn't seem bad. It's free to people who happened to have both version of the game, and for the rest of the audience, it's dlc, which is standard for post release content. No one is really getting cheated. Having the full content availble only if you own both devices would be wrong, though it could be negated for people who wanted them both anyways. It's a grey area that falls more the bad side. I just hope they have the full content from the start and not require hoops to get everything, or just offer it as dlc if you only own one of the two... |
Again, like with things like Smash Run, that just won't happen. I expect a lot of situations like this to happen. It may be wrong, but it's already being done now, and it's the way most, if not all, Nintendo games will be designed come the NX. From Zelda to Pikmin. I just wonder how it's going to effect games like Mario Kart. Or story based games like Pokemon or Metroid.
I don't think it's right, but I do think it's inevitable. I also think it's genius, the same way I think Amiibo's implementation is genius. It will work, whether we take issue with it or not.
