Forums - Nintendo - Media Blackout! Go into "The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild" blind with me! (Read OP Before Posting)

That's more or less what I'm doing already. When it comes to highly anticipated games I try to ignore them once they're ~6 months away so I won't know much about them when I finally get to play them. Xenoblade is another game on my avoid-list and apart from the limited tits micromanagement I really don't know that much about it.

This is like missing Christmas on purpose.  Don't know about you, but I like Christmas.

Weird decision on Nintendo's part, although doesn't he take that form just after you confront him in Hyrule Castle? That's pretty early in the game. Would be like promoting the adult Link sections of Ocarina, or the Dark World in LTTP, right?

If it were up to me, those moments would be kept out of prerelease marketing as well. I was fortunate to play both of these games without seeing any spoilers, and those moments were, by far, the most suprising parts of each game. My cousin picked all my games for me as he was older and more in tune with what was coming out and what was, you know, good. I did not go into OoT, especially, knowing that Link would turn into an adult or that there was time travel at all. I was also 5, and didn't really understand it until this game.

Suffice to say, I don't think it matters that it happens that early. It's still several dungeons in, and it's a very big spoiler that, while probably obvious given the history of the franchise, was not even remotely alluded to until this promo art, which was only released like a week before the game launched.

We've been under media blackout the entire gen,. A couple of teasers is by no means "information".

Proud to be the first cool Nintendo fan ever

Number ONE Zelda fan in the Universe

DKCTF didn't move consoles

Prediction: No Zelda HD for Wii U, quietly moved to the succesor

Predictions for Nintendo NX and Mobile

I'm going to try but I know I'll fail horribly.
There's no way I can stay away from E3 this coming year.

That being said I will visit this post and in no way will I ever post any sort of spoiler.

During the weeks before E3, I plan on bumping this thread with tips on how to avoid spoilers that week. You should at least try. Attempting to stay spoil-free is 80% of the challenge.

I just don't know if it's possible for me. So many people I hang around with will want to talk about the E3 stuff in person.

I shall do my best though!
