Way too early for me, probably I will go media blackout after E3.

Well Nintendo seems to be Media blackout on Zelda U till E3 in the first place.

Till E3 maybe we will see it one or two times more, but they will certainly talk about game till E3. At E3 latest I expecting full trailer, with name of game and lotsa details and release window, after that I will go on media blackout. :)

So wait, does this mean you're leaving VGC? Because I don't see how someone could continue to visit the forums of this site without seeing a spoiler for Zelda U. I'm sure the moment any blip of new info on that game comes out there will be like 10 posts about it lol.

No I'm staying.  I managed to stay 90% spoil free when I went into MGSV without an issue, and the only times I was spoiled were because I deliberately watch trailers and gameplay myself. It's not as difficult to stay away from spoilers as you might think.  And like I said in the OP, I don't expect to be 100% successful, but I will obviously fare better than if I didn't commit to this.

You might want to avoid E3 because it stands to reason that Zelda Wii U will be heavily represented there.

I have absolutely zero faith that they won't. They did it with ALBW. I'm sure they'll do it here.

They did? How much did they show before release?

They literally spoiled Yuga's Final form with promotional art.

I managed to last E3 fine when it came to metal gear solid, so I think I'll be fine with Zelda too.

Should I add you on the list?

Sure. But I don't really need reminders, since it's been my way of doing things for years now.

Okay, noted!

I don't remember seeing that. I wasn't really fully engaged with LBW promotion though. I knew I'd buy it but I wasn't that curious about it. I guess I accidentally went on a media blackout for it just due to a kind of apathy.

No such luck with Zelda Wii U, at least for the forseeable future. Sometimes life happens and you sort of forget all about whatever game or movie you were anticipating.

I wasn't either, which is why I was particularly aggrivated by it.

I'm tempted. I've done this with things before, though mostly movies. I usually watch the reveal, then try to avoid watching the main trailers that come out closer to launch. This time I guess I'm already at that point where it's been revealed, though the reveal seems less revealing than in the past. We know so little compared to when they revealed each of the previous 3D Zeldas. But you're right that that makes it an interesting opportunity to go into it more blind than ever... But man, it was one thing not trying to look up stuff on purpose--now in this age of Nintendo Directs it will be next to impossible to just look away when they're talking about Zelda, or to not watch at all...

Graaah, I'm torn!!!

Weird decision on Nintendo's part, although doesn't he take that form just after you confront him in Hyrule Castle? That's pretty early in the game. Would be like promoting the adult Link sections of Ocarina, or the Dark World in LTTP, right?
