If a game's visuals are good then there should be no problem with in game cinematics. GTA V blended it with the gameplay seamlessly which was pretty sexy.

^ I found GTA 5's cinematics extremely boring. I skipped pretty much all of them after a while and figured out what was going on by the in car conversations. It was the same skit every time. Then when something epic is supposed to happen it always looks very underwhelming. Consoles are far from powerful enough to deliver epic movie-like scenes. Can anyone name any really memorable in-engine cinematics?
I also miss the making of videos and concept art that you used to unlock as rewards instead of trophies. I guess all to save space on the download size and save a few days on production. At least with movies the physical edition still gets all the extras. Luckily there are exceptions, eg http://www.digitaltrends.com/gaming/life-is-strange-retail-limited-edition-announced/ Director's commentary is great too, loved it while replaying Grim Fandango.
