I'll agree and predict FFVR wont be on NX and here's why....

SSB had Snake on the Wii version: No MGS game for Nintendo as of yet. - But the GC did have the exclusive Twin Snakes remasters of MGS1+2

SSB has Ryu on the Wii U version: No Street Fighter for Nintendo as of yet. (and doesn't look to be) - But SF as a console game historically was known as a Nintendo game. And SFIV is on 3DS.

You make valid points.  I just think when something like adding new characters, you'd be looking forward to more of 'that' character.

With Snake on Smash some were looking forward to a Twin Snake HD remaster. Or with Ryu, (yes there's SF4 for 3DS) but the addition of Ryu to Smash was much later so I was hoping Nintendo would get a new fighting game since Capcom vs Tatsunoko.  Did we not hope for a new Megaman when he was announced on Smash? I did.  But I guess that's just me.

I could very well be wrong, and for the all Nintendo fans I hope so.  I just don't try to expect more in the future when it comes to what it means when Smash has/adds a certain characters.

Sidenote: Did anybody feel a bit nostalgic for Ehrgeiz when seeing Cloud coming to Smash? lol

hmmm Snake was in Smash didnt see MGS4 or 5 show up on any systems . Megaman was in, not seeing a new game in that series coming out. Ryu was just put in. SF5 is not going to WiiU. Why people think Cloud would be different...just saying

Snake was put in to Smash for 2008, and Konami did give Nintendo a MGS game they just opted it be MGS3D for the 3DS in 2010.

It's pretty much impossible to port MGS4 to the Wii anyway.

Beyond that Square-Enix has already basically promised a game as big as FF7 Remake to the NX already ... Dragon Quest XI. And they've also specified that FF7 Remake is only a premiere title for the PS4 and not a full exclusive like SFV is.

If XBox One gets FF7 Remake, then I'd bet dollars to donughts that NX sure as hell will get it too. If XBox One isn't getting FF7 Remake then Sony would've made damn sure to crow about that from every roof top at E3, but they didn't. So again, if X1 gets IMO NX should too, provided the NX can run a port of the game without much fuss.

I think all of FFXV, Kingdom Hearts III, and FFVII Remake will be on PS4, XB1, and NX ... they're just too big/expensive of projects. Dragon Quest XI is basically also multi-plat, the only reason it's not on XB1 I think is because XB1 has virtually no market standing in Japan where 90% of DQ's sales come from.

No console should get anything, lets put that tired rhetoric to rest. There not that big or expensive that they wont make there money on PS4 ALONE. They dont need to put it on anything else. How is DQ11 multiplat? link? My point was that him in hte game is no proof that SE will give Ninty anything of significance. None of the 3rd party characters that appeared have, so i dont see why this case would be different.

Cloud has never been on a Nintendo platform whereas the others  have.

I don't think anything is certain aside from SE likely "considering" it for the NX. If they're looking at it as a viable platform for DQXI, it wouldn't make sense to stop there. ALthough SE doesn't always make a ton of sense, i.e Kingdom Hearts 3 on Xbox One but no HD remixes appearing on the Xbox consoles

well like you say they dont do a bunch of stuff that makes sense.

If NX has similar hardware to PS4 and XBox One then I think it could easily get a version of the remake, it will all really depend on what Nintendo's ability to sell games is.
NX is presumably getting Dragon Quest 11, so it wouldn't be a stretch for it to get a copy of this, assuming it's not a PS4 exclusive.

Just because it's not been stated yet that doesn't mean the Final Fantasy 7 Remake isn't a PS4 exclusive in some way, shape or form.
Maybe PS4 is the only console getting it and there will be a PC version too, Sony could have paid for console exclusivity. I'm pretty sure that back in the PS3 days the remake was supposed to be a full PS3 exclusive, unless any initial contract with Square is up that may have transferred over to PS4.

All 3rd party games should be multi-plat actually IMO so long as the platform can run the game. Locking out consumers from content because "console warz doood!" is lame.

Square-Enix talked about DQXI for NX already, you can Google it if you want.

If they paid for FF7 console exclusivity, it would have been stated very LOUDLY and in no uncertain terms. You don't land an exclusive that huge and then just quietly not talk about it being exclusive.

They would've mentioned it being exclusive 50000 times at E3 if it actually was exclusive. It's not. It will be on XBox One. And probably NX too. They clearly stated it's on PS4 first, which means it's coming to other platforms later.

Perhaps contracts for a new deal are underway and Sony or SE can't talk about it yet. ;)

If you have a specific plan for how you want tackle marketing the game then yes you do wait to talk about things like exclusivity.

Lack of stating something doens't mean it's not happening, it's just an ambiguous thing right now and no one knows either way for sure.

Saying it's first on PS4 just means it's coming first to PS4, the exclusive part can still be announced later as Square and Sony talk about things more.

To say either way right now is just speculation, it's not clear that it's coming to XB1 or NX or even PC, it could happen, but the only thing that's guaranteed at this point is that it's coming to PS4, we'll see about the rest as and when marketing ramps up for the game.

Hell it could be the case that PS4 gets it for an entire generation and then it'll be re-released on PS5 when that comes out. It could quite easily be a Playstation home console exclusive, using the term "first" doesn't imply that the second platform will go outside of the Playstation ecosystem.

in a perfect world, yes. I agree, but this aint a perfect world. These companies dont have infinite resources. And judging from the sales of 3rd party games, i wouldnt be shocked at all if these games miss Ninty consoles, like they have been missing them for almost two decades

Fair enough, but that still dont have much to do with FF

Depends how powerfull nx will be

That's obvious. It's like saying SFV will somehow make it to the Wii U/NX since Ryu was included in Smash.
