No, have you seen the pic I provided? Dreams is about creativity not technical knowhow and as such this level of production is going to be available to anyone, even those with no technical knowhow whatsoever. I'm not about to get into a debate on which can produce the best looking product. This is about Dreams and the opportunities it could present to people with a PS4.

If that case, I could see the developer making an app to bring the models from the PS4 to a PC or other device that could print in 3D, or connect to a 3D printer. Or maybe a PS4 app to connect the console to some 3D printers?

That's what they're doing.

Think of it as a virtual pottery's wheel, or virtual sculpture application that has game asset management included.

Picture "PlayStation sculpture Gloves" for instance could very well be added. Combined with Playstation VR..you really do have a 3D canvas to work with. That is not just for one piece, but can indeed be ready for mass production if you wanted. Could very well be used to make board game piece's, better yet multiple users could make pieces for the very same board game. All done by different ps4 users, or publisher's.. Etc.

So yes I could in fact see it to be quite fantastic for such..like making doll house furniture for your daughters doll house. Or make sculpt trophy's that you are able to complete from the games you complete! Bronze, silver, gold , platinum... Grin

I thought of something else as well. What if MM alow us to print out 3D versions of the Trophies in Dreams? This would not only give us something to rival Amiibos but also a great business opportunity for Sony and the innevitable Dreams DLC + Trophies.

Pretty sure there are plenty of folk already in Second Life that make tons of money doing digital items and I wouldn't be surprised if they were already onto the 3D printing business as well with how extensive SL can be.
