Although it's the sequel to an arcade game that used the license for the 'Die Hard' series outside of Japan but didn't use it itself, this game is awesome, mindless fun. 'Dynamite Cop' is a so-called beat-em-up, where you play through several levels in a linear fashion beating up everything in sight. These games are usually quite short, as is this one, but it has several different 'paths' to take to the end boss depending on the character you choose, which adds replay value.

What makes the game good fun is that you can literally use anything that isn't bolted to the floor, as a weapon. Whether it be a simple chair, a barbell or even a hooked piece of meat in the kitchen. There's weapons too, from knives to anti-tank weapons, and things can be set on fire using a lighter. Each path has their own mini-bosses.

The throwaway story follows a special forces unit trying to rescue the daughter of the president from modern-day pirates onboard a luxury cruise liner. The levels take the player all over the ship, from the engine room to the kitchen to the decks and crew quarters, culminating in the final stage on the bridge where the pirate captain is the end-boss.

A couple of strange looking animals show you how it's done.

42. This franchise sells like cold water in the desert, this game, the most recent, was no different, actually it sold even more.

Grand Theft Auto V

Grand Theft Auto V

You are right :D

I figured the other series that would potentially apply to the first sentence actually didn't sell more with their most recent entries lol

#42: This game had a highly controversial side character that ultimately became beloved and missed when said character departed.

Second hint: "Who would release this incomplete game and then slap some microtransactions on it? WHOOO!?"

Don't think you went stealth edit with this one, I saw it! XP

Lol! Well, couldn't make it too easy for a first hint.

Dynamite Cop isn't a port of a japanese arcade with the Die Hard license. It's the sequel of Dynamite Deka, which was turned into Die Hard Arcade outside of Japan. Die Hard Arcade was ported to the Sega Saturn.

Yes, you are right indeed!

Big fail there, should have checked to be sure, I always get the timeline for this game mixed up, thanks for the correction.
