Not a major franchise :(. I should add that the game I am talking about is still exclusive to PS2.

This game was supposed to include a certain famous mount, but much to the annoyance of it's creator, couldn't be implemented until the following game on the next system due to technical difficulties.

Hint 2: Had cities full of NPCs to talk to, and the world map was quite large so a fast travel system was put in place.
