Forums - Nintendo - How can I get hyped for a game out of nowhere?! I didn't care about this game before..

Alright we all know Super Mario Maker is out and it's killing the sales chart(beating other Nintendo games). I first heard about this game back in last years E3 and did not care about it. I saw the trailers earlier this  year and did not care. This years E3 they showed more of it and I did not care. THEN the RELEASE of the game came around and I did not care..... Now all of a sudden I'm  hyped on getting it?! What kind of stupid magic is this? it's weird, this never happened to me before....  Now I find myself watching gameplay of Super Mario Maker every day, I'll probably keep watching until I can get it. Has this ever happened to you?

Around the Network

It can happen with a lot of games, honestly.

I didn't care about Yoshi's Woolly World, but after seeing tons of gameplay footage, I decided to get it cause the game looked awesome.

"Just for comparison Uncharted 4 was 20x bigger than Splatoon 2. This shows the huge difference between Sony's first-party games and Nintendo's first-party games."

Nintendo Magic :p

Doesn't usually happen to me, but there are times when I suddenly want to get a game when I didn't plan to before (Splatoon)

It's better to not get hyped so the element of surprise benefits your gaming experience as opposed to getting hyped up only to potentially be let down.

Animal Crossing. For years I sorta knew it existed but I was always sold on harvest Moon. Then of course back in 2013 the latest and then previous HM games turned out to be different then what I remember and were more or less duds. Some dude at my local GAME store ended up recommending AC New Leaf to me and I looked at the back cover and I felt something that this game was going to hook for and later on during that week it did for a number of months, except now of course since I'm burnt out on the game and it hardly feels as alive as I thought it would be which is why I wish for a home console AC or new handheld game.

Mankind, in its arrogance and self-delusion, must believe they are the mirrors to God in both their image and their power. If something shatters that mirror, then it must be totally destroyed.
