When FF was first announced I was really upset because I thought it looked awful. But now that enough time has passed, I actually think it may be pretty fun. It's just not the game I wanted (like everyone else). Oh well...

I've heard people saying they want a sequel to the old 2D handheld Metroid games for a while.

YEEEESS. Metroid Fusion is awesome. One of my favourite entries of the series. 

These are some interesting ideas but what are the chances of them happening?

the demo they showed appearing arguably worse graphically than the Nintendo 64 is one of the biggest peeves people had

it just doesn't work as a "Metroid" game. the Metroid series is claustrophobic and atmospheric, dark, about being alone to some degree. not some gung-ho buddy buddy network of bounty hunters. this game is already flawed if its truly is attempting to be in the Metroid series. they should rename it and stop damaging the Metroid IP immediately

Jk, Other M is awesome. I was actually hoping for a 2.5D Metroid game on 3DS a sequel to Fusion with the graphics of Other M. Federation Force looks okay, i will deff try it out.

I think it's pretty obvious why they did it.
3ds 54 millions vs wii u 10m worldwide.
Also, the game looks like it's been very cheap to make, so it's a win/win situation for nintendo.
And imagine that this game ends selling 1,5m worldwide ltd. the profit would be huge.
And nintendo heard all the complaints, and will make a great game for NX, believe!

OF course Metroid Federation Force won't be that bad. Have you seen the actual gameplay? That was months ago, and they plan to release in 2016. They still have a lot of time to work on it. It looks great to play with friends, a dungeon exploration and puzzle almost like Tri-force Warriors. Ya'll will get your Metroid, but it looks like they'll save it for the NX.
