Well, it looks fine on the PS4, but I'm not so sure how representative these clips are of the X1 version. |
Apparently, DF said that the Xbox version got to 0FPS... But everybody knew since the announcement that the game would be broken, so nothing surprising here.
EDIT : Yeah, we can see it on the gifs, it didn't load fully on my crappy phone connection XD
Well... at least the PS4 version doesnt go full stop at 0 fps.

The lowest on the DF clips was 26FPS for the PS4; the X1 hit 0FPS (only once, I think).
Still reading up on the game. So far fro what I've seen and read, it runs fairly well on PS4. However, there are some bugs as expected on all platforms.

Fallout is that type of franchise where the score range is already decided long before reviewers even get their hands on the game. Doesn't matter how bugged the game is,they will ignore that(together with some basic design flaws like plot holes in the story, dumb down gameplay mechanics,etc...) and when the shitstorm start they will make some articles about it.(maybe calling people entitled) Then when(if) the game keep having bugs and glitches for a long time, they will be forced to point that out(just like happened with fallout 3), but nobody will lower their score and even if they do metacritic will be already set and nothing will change. Then years from now when the dust has settle and the hype googles drop off, people will start to point out all the design flaws and lack of polishness this game have that the "entitled" people from 2015 were talking about.Even some gaming sites like eurogamer will get some balls and talk about this(they did that this year for fallout 3...8 year late tho). In the end, reviews are useless for games like fallout 'cause reviewers are historically in bed with the devs/franchise. Playing the game or at least watching somebody else play on twitch are the only options in this cases. |
Poor wording on my end. I am aware of how Bethesda games are received from the different perspectives in the industry from release to post release. Anyhow, I'm still looking into what I'll be buying.

Should change the title to say: It looks like Fallout 4 will be another PS3 Skyrim... on XB1. :P
Honestly though... i wouldnt care. I played Skyrim on the PS3 and it was still amazing.

I think it runs very well. A far cry from the nonsense various message boards are flooded with.
Even PC versions buggy, some npc dialog captions get stuck on certain characters lines and skip others, animations ripped straight from skyrim (vault-tec recruiter equipping clipboard as shield), general ghoul carcasses floating in mid air, memory leak when using certain settings and switching between overworld and manufacturing plant, mouse cursor skipping certain option lines forcing you to move cursor away from then back over them, and reload being mapped to the same button used to "inspect storage" (view items in an object/body) making it hard to reload when surrounded by gibs. Dog going missing after entering a building and leaving via a different exit.
But hey, at least the frame rates better at 4k than COD:BO3
