They're probably counting on updates to Splatoon and Super Mario Maker to push them through the holidays, that's why.

Almost makes me wish they both flopped. (Nah)

But, they need to advertise for something. Their advertising budget is roughly on-par with last year, and last I checked, there are far fewer big Wii U releases and no game on par with Pokemon OR/AS and Sm4sh, so what's going on?

Maybe it has something to do with its poor performance in Japan...seeing it go for half off just a few months after release is just disheartening.

Xenoblade on the Wii was so damn good.... this should get as much marketing push as Super Mario Maker or Splatoons does, its a game worth the marketing push.

I want it to sell well, so they can keep makeing Xeno games.

The original Xenoblade sold neary a million with no advertising and limited stock, i think X will outsell it, but if they want millions it needs an advertising campaign like a final fantasy or destiny game

Edit: but what other JRPGS that got heavily marketed? 

Nintendo know X is going to be a release for the absolute core of their audience. It's not something that's going to set sales charts on fire, as much as I'd love it too.

We will see more of it this month, though. I think we'll have a Direct within a week and X will definitely feature on that.

Nintendo's gonna have a bad holiday. There's literally nothing good coming out besides XCX. The Splat Smash bundle might do well. A Wii U, Smash and Splatoon for 279? That'll sell pretty well...I hope. It's also too late for Zelda TP HD. So, I guess they'll give us TPHD in February-April to hold us over for the dual release of the Wii U and NX title.

I remember Kingdom Hearts 3D had so many advertisements my father thought it was a movie coming out. Oh, and Yo Kai Watch is being heavily advertised on Disney Jr (watch it all the time with my daughter), and Pokemon, when Omega Red and Alpha Saphire was coming out.
