Game of the Year 2015: MGS5 or Bloodborne?

Metal Gear Solid 5 of course! 99 27.73%

100 % Bloodborne! 180 50.42%

Both games incredibly, can not decide 25 7.00%

see results 53 14.85%

Total:357

I've never been a fan of MGS and Bloodborne is awesome, so it takes my vote.

There are more games to be released this year. Including xenoblade chronicles X

Bloodborne
While the original Xenoblade was the best game last gen, I see this one underperforming from a quality standpoint.  Can't see it getting above an 87.

maybe idk. What quality standpoint do you mean?

From reviews of the Japanese version I heard the plot is really weak, the pacing is bad and the characters are boring.  Music is subjective, but I'm sure you've heard the battle theme.  Probably not a bad game, but dissapointing compared to XC.

haha reviews. Yeah battle theme is not the best. But have you heard the main theme? The lost key song? The sylvalum day and night theme? sylvalum day and night theme? the dessert areas theme, Codename X theme? and the Mira theme? i hope so. because thats one of the best soundtracks i ever heard. Plot is probably gonna be a bit worse than the first one, but it still be a good plot probably from what i heard. I dont think it will be dissapointing compared to the first xenoblade. I think it will live up to it definetly. Not only is the world much much bigger, but theres also much much better sidequests and quests in general and much more to do.  story might not be on par with the original. The character developments aswell maybe not as good but i still think it can be GOTY 2015. It has the potential

Super Mario Maker is easily better than those two games.

Fallout 4 comes out soon..... I can see it making a huge dent in other games potential GOTY awards.

Out of curiosity, how much time have you spent playing Bloodborne and Metal Gear Solid 5? Did you beat both of them? What was your favourite or least favourite stage/mission? I haven't played MGS5 or MM so I see no point in calling Bloodbrone the best.

Prediction: Super Mario Maker earns zero game of the year awards while both of these will garner at least some.

I've beaten MGS5 and I've played Bloodborne at a friend's. I've never been a fan of From Software's games and Bloodborne is more of the same. In SMM I can play/create easy, moderate and hard levels if I want. In Bloodborne you're forced into the frustration the developer decided for you. It's such a limiting design choice, while I prefer the design choice of giving everybody what they want: easy, moderate and hard levels. SMM can be enjoyed by both hardcore and casual gamers while Bloodborne cannot. That is also the reason why it will easily outsell it despite being on a console that is considered a commercial flop.

Candy crush has 93m players per day. Doesn't mean it's a better game compared to any of these games. Point is moot.

And game of the year awards by bribable/biased journalists determine if a game is better than another? Ok. Your point is moot. Super Mario Maker will still be enjoyed by more people than Bloodborne.
