So this basically confirms that every other genre is useless so JRPG fans can get off their bubble thinking people switched to PS4 because of "Final Fantasy 7 remake."

All they need now is platformers. They showed success early on with Knack outselling Super Mario 3D World for a while. Now they just need to make Knack 2!

Well in June they said that around 40% of PS4 owner didn't have a PS3. So I imagine a good part of that 40% is coming from Xbox.

Except RTS, 4x, MMO's, Point & CLick, MOBA's along with some others as well.

Well that's rather shit news. PS2 didn't need shooter fans to sell 150 million. I don't need an influx of shooter fans to start skewing development even more in the fps direction thanbgaking has already gone. Why can't they just go back to PC which is where they all were before Xbox showed up? Fps is much better on PC anyway.

Then you need to be enthusiastic about the success of the PS4 with its plethora of gaming options for other game enthusiasts.  And we all know you're an Xbox supporter which is fine in and of itself.  But when you couple this with you distain for positive PlayStation news, you're only giving yourself and other Xbox suporters a bad name.  And saying the PlayStaion is doing great is VERY neutral because it's the truth.  But what you really want is that sort of neutral that no one says anything good about anything so no one gets hurt.  But the reality here is that your hobby of being an Xbox supporter isn't giving enough joy because the PlayStation is doing so much better.  Game enthusiast???  You ain't fooling no one.

I'm sorry have you got any proof every gamers are switching to ps4 ? Are you saying people owned Xbox one and will buy Xbox one are not gamers ? 

I suppose it can't be too big of a surprise given how aggressive Sony has been this gen. The Destiny deal along with the PS4 unexpectedly dominating across the world is doing wonders for them snagging marketing deals now.

Several 3rd party's quickly switched over to Sony once things took off and that's going to lead to even stronger sales down the road. If anything It seems getting marketing deals does a great deal in swaying general opinion and interest from the broader casual player base which makes up the majority of players. Last gen Microsoft having the full year lead and grabbing up Call of Duty may very well have done more for them then any exclusive (including Halo) could.

Not sure where your getting that idea from... Allot of the people who originally played FF7 were not JRPG fans beforehand. Far as I know JRPG fans (including square) are hoping FF7 revitalize interest in the bigger JRPGs which has been diminishing allot over the years in favor of low budget hand-held or mobile games. Shooters alone wont push a conesole anyway its only one part of many regardless of if its the biggest chunk of the pie.
