Background Info for those who need it: The monster things you are looking at  are called Wendigo's. In the games lore, The moutain in which this game takes place on is cursed  and any humans that resort to cannabalism while on this moutain will become wendigos. They lose most of their humanity, gain bulletproof skin, increased mobility and agility. They have 2 major weakness - Fire which will surely kill them, and the fact that they can only see kinetic energy, meaning if you stand completely still they cant see you. They make up for the seeing issue by letting out loud shrieks in a attempt to scare the target into moving.

This scene is the very last part of the game where Mike and Sam decide to blow up the lodge that has been invaded by wendigos. Sam takes up the mantle of distracrting the wendigos by moving and then standing completely still to let the others escape. She is the last one leaving.

I would have been dead in that lodge that day.

I would have eaten somebody and became a Wendigo.

I can honestly say I would be able to do it if the people in the house with me were my close family and friends.

I would be dead way before that scene begins. Otherwise the Wendigo would have ripped me to pieces in that house. I would end like Mike when you screwed up

I did an "Everyone survives" play through my first time (everyone except the black guy because.... you know). Now I have to do an "Everybody dies" play through.
