So far so good

Actually it always the same for me since 7th gen until know. Maybe i am getting busy for working, i don't have time much to enjoy games, and also i am getting old for game and become easily bored. I rather spend my time sleeping rather then spend hour on JRPG even though i want to play the games. PS4 and PC is already too much, even i rarely finish my games.

My first 8th gen console was the 3DS and I think it's amazing and is so far my favorite console of all time. It's just sad to see its support slowly dying.
I got a Wii U second and it's been average. There haven't been too many games I've played on it, but the games I have played, I have loved.
I got a PS4 next and it so far has been a huge disappointment and I honestly regret buying it so far, but next year's lineup looks fantastic for it, so hopefully that will turn things around.
I got a PSVita next and I only got it recently, so I can't fully judge it yet, but so far, I have been enjoying it. It's nothing great yet, but I'm sure I'll end u liking it.

So far, this gen is looking pretty mediocre, with the 3DS being the one exception. The Wii U is pretty disappointing with its dismal support, but I still prefer it over the Wii. The PS4 is a huge disappointment, but its looking like things may change next year. I'm not sure about the Vita yet and I don't plan on buying a XBOne.

It's been great for me! I own the 3DS and Wii U

FE Awakening is one of my favourites, and there are soo many good 3DS games...
(Rune Factory 4, Fantasy Life, Pokemon XY, ORAS, OoT 3D, ALBW, MM3D (haven't played it D:), New Leaf, Theatrhythm, Hatsune Miku, Etrian Odyssey U, U2, 4, Tales of the Abyss.... )

While on the Wii U side, the sequels of the games are one of the best
(Mario Kart 8, Smash U, Pikmin 3, The Wind Waker HD, Super Mario Maker) as well as Splatoon!

[3DS] Winter Playtimes [Wii U]

Mediocre. The Wii U has nice sequels, but few of the truly innovative experiences I want from Nintendo. The PS4 and XBox One just don't interest me at all yet.

I've thoroughly enjoyed Destiny and Halo 5 out of this generation so far. Not much else though. Hoping Fallout 4 and Black Ops 3 give me my money's worth.

From 2012 till 2013 my 3ds got a huge amount of use. Plenty of use before and after those years, too. It's a contender for my favorite console. However, i dont have the same sentimental attachment to it as i do others.

My wii u got a lot of use last year. There's enought to play this year too, but im low on time and have a huge backlog of games. My steam libary is also huge... And barely played. I just dont have the time to be a gamer despite my appreciation for the medium... Or, when i do have free time, i often feel i should spend it more constructively.

Reminds me a bit of 6th gen so far with PS4, meaning so far so good. Year 1 was mostly spent playing last gen titles on new hardware, with a few good new titles. Year 2 has been a relatively steady stream of good titles, starting with Dying Light and basically ending with Fallout 4. Year 3 looks crazy.

Lacking from everything but the 3DS.

It's been great for me so far. I have...60 or 70 something 8th gen games and I've found a lot of good stuff I wasn't expecting.

Bet with Adamblaziken:

I bet that on launch the Nintendo Switch will have no built in in-game voice chat. He bets that it will. The winner gets six months of avatar control over the other user.
