It's a preference of the majority, or atleast a healthy portion of vgchartz that the overabundance of a topic is affecting their enjoyment of this site for differing reasons. Mine is that these topics have no substance, not enough to allow for hundreds of threads. Others may differ, but the end result is we would like to see less of them. It's fine to ignore one thread, but when it's usually 5 or 6 on the main page, you can't ignore it, it's pushing relevant content out.

No one is losing out here. Gather in one thread and share ideas. If that thread dies, then truth be told, no one really wants to discuss predictions, they just wanna say their prediction and run.

I hope you can see how different this logic is to your original logic (I'm referring to the 3rd paragraph). And it makes much more sense.

But truth be told, I can't remember a time when there was more than max 2 NX threads in the hot topics at one given time. And I think you're exaggerating. And if you're exaggerating, I have the right to tell you to ignore one or two threads, as you yourself conceded is fair and reasonable (underlined, words being "it's fair", which it is). And if you tell me I have no right to demand that of you, then it's my right (and I would be right to say) that you're being unreasonable and unfair.

I too see around two at most, theres been alot of threads but not an overwhelmingly amount to act like its unbearable.Its a gaming site and were worried about nx threads so we can make more room for what political,football,world series, and other radom events?!?! Also this fireburn guy is crazy talking about how he doesn't want to be censored but then desires it for the nx community posting on this site. Jamming all  conversation into one thread to shut them up is censorship! Some people like to talk about power and chips and go into great detail about that way more than I know and that might be there thing but not what others want to talk about. It could be sales, potential time frame of release, or launch games all different discussions that should be allowed to have there own space rumor or not. Pikmin 4 was announced to be in development why cant we speculate or predict on it. We shouldnt have to rummage through hundreds or thousands of post in one thread to get the info we want! Also if there so many threads and posts wouldn't that mean that there's alot of people that are interested, i mean if there's smoke there's fire so there's plenty of people who want them.

NX'ers arent being censored, just redirected. Censorship is being forced to be restricted from information. You still fucking have an outlet to discuss. You cna talk about your chips, power outlets and time frames all in one place :o The travesty!

And yes there have been plenty of times where i've seen at least 5 NX threads on the homepage. And 5 threads pretty much about the same thing mean 4 less threads get featured. 90% of the conversation on this site occurs from the threads on hot topics. Other threads barely get any attention if they dont bump on hot topics. 

If it was legitimate news like 'Miyamoto says nx will have a mario game at launch' and that same thread is used to predict which mario game it'll be, that's fine. It's news, and it's on topic, and the predictions are based of his statements. 

If i'm being unreasonable and unfair, then so are the majority of vgchartz users who agree. If the majority of vgchartz users are 'being unreasonable and unfair', maybe collectively, they're not being unreasonable and unfair because they all agree! I think the right to request you do not try to censor me to content is a natural right everyone on vgc deserves. You're free to call me unreasonable and unfair, but forums only survive while users who are on it are happy. Especially with vgchartz numbers updating monthly for the past few months, if theh forums are the only reason we come to this site now, it's best to keep the majority happy - not the minority who think catering to their own whims is high and mighty above others.

Once again, you're free to post your NX predictions... but for now, in a thread dedicated to that. I'm sure vgchartz members would be annoyed if I posted a review thread for every single soccer match that occured in the premier league. Probably better to stick it in one updating thread, or a new thread weekly.

That's because you don't like being told what to do, but you admitted yourself that it was the right approach. If there is one or 2 threads, by your own admission, just ignore it. And when I'm talking about unreasonable and unfair, I'm just talking about how you were pretending like you were being censored in your first post, which was you just pretending you were being attacked.

Also, on a video game site, there is an ocean of a difference between posting regularly about soccer and posting regularly about a console of one of 3 main game platform manufacturers. Apparently that flew over your head, much like the slew of information we have to properly speculate about the NX, and every few months the new information we get about dates and timing. To you, we only have a name.

As for bold, if you don't like being told what to do, why are you doing it now?

I'm on the site regularly and I've only seen at most 2 NX threads at one time. Usually there is just one in the hot topics.


I wasn't being censored. I was being told to censor myself for a petty reason. No. I am free to view something that I don't like. It's a human right.

Anywho, go complain to the mods. They have da power. They're pissed off and they control this site. Don't like it?...OOWWHHHH! Nope infact stay here so I can taste da salt.

As for bold... ummm... the site belongs to the owners of vgchartz who entrust decisions made by moderators. Mods make rules and we use the site as long as we accept those rules. Therefore being told by a moderator (i.e. a website owner representative) to do something, vs being told by a tom dick harry to censor myself to information, hmm I respect the mods more because this is a free service in exchange for my agreement to their conditions and respect for their mods.

You never cease to amaze with your tact.

This is a video game forum. Skipping 1 thread you don't like =/= rummaging through hundreds of posts in a bundled thread (which I usually always ignore personally). If I have to dig for information, then that information is censored in a sense. Not in the strictest sense, but in some sense.


So you're saying you want to make a point, but you dont wanna discuss that point. DUde it's a forum, either discuss, or don't. And it's not censored in this case, it's your own laziness to not dig through. If you're really invested and really want to discuss, you'll dig. If you want to just make a prediction for the sake of it, you'll post and walk away

So far I'm not so hopeful you would be willing to turn from enjoying the displeasure of others to look at things objectively.


If i'm wrong, so is the majority. The majority always makes more money for the site through views, so the wrong decision may therefore be the best decision, for users, new users and the sustainability of this site. 

The only one who I see is displeasured really is you. A couple others have commented the same, one guy called me crazy, but I have a right to be pleasured when a nuisance (what I find is a nuisance) from the site has been removed.

If you're taking Cartman to heart, DUDE IT'S A THREAD RULE PROBABLY FOR LIKE 6 MORE MONTHS UNTIL NEXT E3 GET OVER IT and do your dealings in the NX thread.
