Your over-reacting based on the hourly chart......Most of this month PS4 has had a huge lead with 4 sku's above the first x1 sku with a large lead. On top of that, ps4 has months of pre-orders going into this month.

Are u speaking about Best Buy? Cause that's what I was referencing, along with Walmart, which has shown XBO domination for the past week (if the link is to be believed).

And yes, preorders will be huge. But I was talking about the recent, and monthly average, sales.

Retailer insiders at best buy paint a much different picture, don't think that's accurate, and I was talking about amazon

Wtf? A whole week? That's odd. And what about the X1 free game promo that only ends on Saturday, wonder if it'll combine for a day

I assume Amazon pulls the trigger early because they still have to deliver the goods, and the idea would be for the goods to be delivered around Black Friday?

Otherwise selling PS4's for a whole week for $299 is craziness. And considering people pretty much ignored the $50 price cut they are very smart to do so because no we have a short term $100 price cut. It would be rather megaton if Sony came out and said: "Well the $299 price point was so successful that we've decided to make all 500GB skus $299, until stocks run out." Essentially transitioning the 1TB to the $349 price point long term and continuing to manufacture and supply 500GB units for the remainder of the year.

That's the way you do a temporary price cut. Cut the price of an end of life sku, but don't immediately stop making it.
