Sorry for the off-topic, but believe the hype, at least in this system! The early shots just didn't do it ANY justice!

Anybody else thinking they should have went with a $299 Battlefront console for Black Friday? That would have been absolute insanity.

i think that as well. it would have been MASSIVE. maybe they would lose money on that though, and opted for the NDC for 299$, that way they probably would make profit or atleast break even.

I actually hope they don't.  Someone has to put a stop to the price cut insanity.  The last thing we need is more conditioning of consumers to expect unrealistically low prices.

But it's already going to be 299 anyway

But from what I recall the price only just went down $50 very recently.  There's no sensible reason to drop it $50 again.  Prices need to fall at a reasonable, sustainable rate.  You don't want to create the appearance of rapidly plummeting prices.  It's not healthy, in the long run, as people come to expect bargains constantly.  The only $299 deal that would be sensible would be a door buster on Black Friday.

Ah, I see.  I thought people were discussing a Holidays-long price reduction, which I think would be unwise.  A door buster is a good idea.

That deal is supposed to be at Dell.
