No sign of a PS3 release for Human Head's FPS sequel.

Radar Group has today announced the development of Prey 2, the sequel to the sci-fi first-person shooter released for PC and Xbox 360 in 2006.

Interestingly the game has only been announced for release on PC and Xbox 360, with no mention of a PlayStation 3 version.

EDGE said the game was PS360/PC

but it seems to be contradictory :

This better not get hyped up just cause it got cancelled on the PS3 a la Frontlines

 Did Frontlines got hyped??? On the contrary mate.The game in its multiplayer is brilliant, and there are people who havent even heard about it. I think you have another tilte in mind. And since when a game ends up overhyped because of its PS3 porting cancelation??? All i see in such cases is hordes of SDF guys who bash at the title and say the same shit "better stay away cause its rubbish", "i wouldnt buy that game anyway", "PS3 is having better games" etc etc.

Not enough demand to be worthy of making a PS3 port. The original Prey was an average FPS when it was released. A Prey sequel would get blown away by the FPS games already on the market or FPS games soon to be released.

Nah, frontline got hyped because of it not appearing on PS3. Forums have been swarming with it. Mediocre game at best, even on MP and PC version has more bugs then the original BF desert combat mod and battlefield 1942 combined. The only amazing achievement this game made.

Prey was mediocre aswell. Will this game take another 7 years to finish aswell?

Bah, The first one was boring. A generic FPS (which I can forgive) with a generic/weird setting (which I cannot forgive) The 360 can keep it.

 Yeah Frontlines did get hyped. Check the boards over a Kotaku, Destructoid, Joystiq, etc. when news of PS3 cancellation came up. Everyone was like "this game is going to be very good" "this is a solid shooter" "Great game, first day buy" etc. Yet before that, when it was still in PS3 development, nobody said anything about. Then it turned out mediocre

I played Prey on PC. It's not a killer, but it was fun to play. I like it. Many people think that Portal is unique. Prey offer portals many months before Portal.

I remember many PS3 fanboys praising Frontlines. This game was hyped many months before PS3 cancellation.
Just cause it got cancelled, all PS3 fanboys start bashing it even before it was out.
On the other side they start hyping Haze after 360 cancellation, before that it was just another FPS.
