Nintendo’s various shops are undergoing some heavy maintenance in just a few days. This will begin Sunday evening for those of you in North America and in the very early morning on Monday over in Europe. The Wii U and 3DS eShops, Wii Shopping Channel, and DSi Shop will be affected.

The upcoming maintenance is particularly notable due to its length. It seems that the maintenance period will last nearly an entire day.

Here’s the full breakdown of times:

– 7 PM PT (Sunday) – 7 PM PT (Monday)
– 10 PM ET (Sunday) – 10 PM ET (Monday)
– 3 AM in the UK (Monday) – 3 AM in the UK (Tuesday)
– 4 AM in Europe (Monday) – 4 AM in Europe (Tuesday)

As for the reasoning behind the downtime, Nintendo says that it’s planning a large-scale exchange of servers. It’s also possible that the maintenance will end a bit early, though you should definitely expect it to take awhile!

I was thinking the same! All aboard the rumour train!

Just noticed this. I kept trying to play the Triforce demo but it wasn't available, then I got to play but it disconnected all three times (given I'm streaming hd espn and hulu on two separate devices simultaneously without issue I doubt it's me). I figured this was the demo servers since no one else seemed to be complaining, so I tried to buy it and the store was offline lol

Sometimes it just feels like nintendo won't take my money... Still waiting on a Majora's mask 3ds to be reasonably prices on eBay along with a few games and amiibo :p

Seriously. I would kill for a Direct this week. Though if it doesn't happen, I'm betting on us getting one by month's end. 

This month Direct is certain, probably before 25. November, so next 3 weeks, we can only wait to when exactly.

Hoping for more download speed afterwards, it's capped at 2-3 MB/s at the moment.

Wew, I downloaded all my games for the week yesterday, glad I didn't wait.

So, today is going on. It beguns after ended TFH demo.

Should be back up tonight? That's good. I'm kinda hooked on 3DS games right now and there is a sale I want to check out.
