Forums - Sony - Sony World Wide Studios is entering Beast mode. insane amount of exclusives

While Sony's World Wide Studios had a slow start this gen, they are quickly going into Beast Mode. there are SO much games on the Horizon (pun intended) that offer so much variety that is mind boggling. lots of genres and types of games, and this is with still PSX coming in about a months time! World Wide Studios is seriously offers games that the other two console makers just cant compete with. Here is whats coming.

We are starting off with the first party games coming from world wide studios

Uncharted 4: A Thiefs End

Horizon: Zero Dawn

The Last Guardian

Dreams

Gravity Daze 2

Gran Turismo SPort - PS VR Compatible

Rigs - PS VR Game

London Hiest - PS VR Game

And here are Some second Party Games

Detroit: Become Human

Wild

No Mans Sky - PS4 version published by WWS. Console exclusive, just coming to PC

Fat Princess Adventures

The Tomorrow Children

Alienation

Ratchet and Clank

Matterfall

The amount of games World Wide Studios is putting out is simply insane. and there is still PSX!! and just a note, while Some games might come to PC, none of these will ever come to any other console but PS4. (and PS5/6/7 with the eventual remasters!)

I don't disagree that we're seeing some nice shaping up
But to counter balance, some complaints

2nd party:

Where is Rime? MIA.
Where is Tomorrow Children? We were told beta was coming this fall, not a peep at PGW
Alienation and Shadow of the Beast already have firm release dates, but the two above are more anticipated and yet are up in the air right now.
Where is Deep Down? MIA.
Wtf is Matterfall? I saw hints that it'd be a SOTB-style hi-fi sidescroller, which would be great from the awesome Housemarque, but next time show/tell that instead of making a "AAA CGI trailer" as if taking cues from MS's gamescom
Until Dawn VR is a joke (much like Until Dawn, ooohh burn)

1st party:

I seriously hope Guerilla Cambridge isn't JUST making Rigs. They were hiring in 2014 for a "multi million IP" so maybe I don't have to worry, but we'll see.

Nice blend here. Lot of different scales and styles. It's nice to see Nintendo isn't the only one running the gambit in terms of exclusives rather than just relying on a few AAA tent poles. And nice to see Sony isn't letting their position as 3RD party king make them slack off. MS did that during the latter half of last gen and...well look what that did for them.

Insane amount of exclusives!?

This all games will coming on PS4 in next few years, I actually think that for now PS4 look like Sony home console with smallest number of exclusives.

With the sales that ps4 are showing, specially since its beating by far the competition, its not that hard to convince other studios to make exclusives for the PS4.With that said, they are sure bringing alot of games exclusively to ps4!

My (locked) thread about how difficulty should be a decision for the developers, not the gamers.

No promises from Evolution yet, but they have a tech demo running at 60FPS for Driveclub VR. http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2015-10-28-driveclub-debuts-on-playstation-vr-and-its-mightily-impressive
