...Needless to say this means that the rest of them will be included in a DLC.

The thing that irritates me is that they could have just included all of them into the base game.

Case #2: Star Wars Battlefront

They are selling us instant accesses to perks and two emote for 10 dollar extra price.

Season Pass is sold at 120 dollars with the base game.

Case #3: Total War: Warhammer

They separated Chaos Warriors from the core game and made it pre-order bonus/ day one DLC.

This wouldn't be as bad if it wasn't such a core faction, and there are only 4 factions if Chaos is excluded which is utter BS imo.

Yes, they have. Which is why I never buy games at launch. I just wait for the GOTY edition like for Dark Souls 2.

Retailer exclusive preorder bonuses are the worst.

I always dislike Day 1 DLC or paid disk locked content.. they could just add it to the game since the content is already made :/

Should I cancel my Uncharted 4 pre-order?

When I look at how WB made 5 mil on MKX and AK, I can only say that the general market is to blame for giving them money so easily and just giving in, reminds me of those times where people said they'd boycott something and then buy the game day 1. The whole point is to not give in and just ignore them or at the very least send them a direct message in droves to let them know the practice is not acceptable.

Until then we will be seeing Season passes, micro trans, macro trans, fee to pay, DLC, day 1 DLC, pre-order DLC, store exclusive DLC, console DLC for a good long time, maybe even indefinitely the longer people feed them and buy into their greed.

Because the port for AK was so shit for PC taught me to never buy anything from WB again until they completely get their ass into gear, the season pass and their general attitude are enough to tlel me they won't change anytime soon if at all. Also I've dropped Ubisoft for quite some time since all their games require me to use their shitty client so it saves me money and trouble along with my generally not supporting them or their practices.

Well they went to far when they started calling them "season pass"

Season pass is for sport when you get a TIMED access to that sport for that season. Makes it feel like this DLC is TIMED and i'll loose it.
