So the basic premise of the theory (Hugh Everett's "many worlds") is that every time you make a decision a different version of you branches off and makes a different one, in a parallel universe. 

 We can't observe this, only do math and speculate, but if we could it might look something like this:

 It's a mod of Super Mario World called Kaizo Mario.
