All that Nintendo does is freighted with meaning. Dolphin, Cafe. These codes have more meaning than you could shake a stick at.
Nintendo is the company that says "I will show you fear in a handful of dust."
In economy, NX means Net exports. Which equals to Exports - Imports. Is it relevant? Doubt it.
Bet with bluedawgs: I say Switch will outsell PS4 in 2018, he says PS4 will outsell Switch. He's now permabanned, but the bet will remain in my sig.

Don't codenames usually have nothing to do with the products? You know, because it's code.

Nintendo Revolution for Wii, because it was the revolution.
Nintendo Cafe for Wii U, because it was like spilling hot coffee on your crotch.
Nintendo NX for NX, because it's NX and people are going to see it and go 'NEXT!'
We really need updated NX information because that at least will give an excuse for so many NX thread.

If Iwata didn't talk about the NX, the only thing that would have changed is that we'd still be calling it the Fusion. All he did was drop a codename for something everyone paying attention already new existed for like 2 years.
