No it's not.
Vgc estimated it at 14M at the end of august (and we know Vgchartz overestimate it), and Xone sold in the US (60/70% of Xone sales) , for september, 280k units.
Add 150k-200k for the rest of world (and i'm optimistic here), that leave 1500k for october alone ? No way.

Yet another step towards Xbox essentially becoming M$'s proprietary Steambox. It'll just be a preconfigured PC for your TV come next gen. Hell, it practically already is.
That said, they're never actually going to drop Xbox hardware entirely. That'd be one of the dumbest, most shortsighted, wasteful moves they've ever made.

About console I doubt they'll pull the plug either... Going PCbox probably... But that's not because they lost this Gen it's because stand alone console will die rather fast within the next decade and even if it somehow survive on nostalgia it'll never be as lucrative than other approaches...
And by then XBL will be a way more financially accurate metrics than low revenue margin making hardware.... Pretty sure XBL makes more profit per subscription even in silver than a console profit margin....

They're moving away from console hardware!
I can't say I would be un happy with this, they can sell games on the w10 store and ensure good controller integration... make some standard PC box for HTPC/living room/media center use that manufacturers can follow and let it boot to a game controller interface... bang!
I still don't understand people saying the One is doing bad... Doing bad compared to what? The PS4? The Wii? (not the WiiU)... Maybe if you compare those charts yes. But if you compare to the Xbox 360, the One is still ahead by ~2.75m units... So I don't view the One as being a bad seller at all. It is a sales improvement so far compared to their last console, and to me that is more important than out selling everyone. It is just the people out there looking to bash Microsoft that will use other devices number to bring down the One. So with people doing that, they have to find another way to make people THINK they are not doing bad (because they are not at all.)
But I guess that's just my opinion?
