Depends. Is he at a close-range? Definitively. You could try disarming the dude. It's far more difficult to disarm someone using a blade than a gun.


Just in general. If someone were to attack you, but you don't know the specifics of the attack, would you prefer him using a sword or a gun?

UPDATE:

- Police described the attack as linked to racism and Nazi-style sympathies, based on evidence including a suicide note.

- “Everything points to this being a hate crime,” the lead investigator, Thord Haraldsson, told journalists Friday.

“He selected his victims and attacked the dark-skinned ones and left the light-skinned ones alone,” he said.

Might be a new way to survive a mass killing incident. See gunman or swordsman enter building and then start taking pictures with him.  Just look at the killer with his arms wrapped around one of the guys.  Just better hope you don't fit the description by race or religion of who he wants to kill.
