Forums - Nintendo - News Regarding a Zelda game Will Be Coming in November From a Famitsu Interview

So much extrapolate and totally absurd hate in this thread.

I mean, did you really expected to get world premiere first informations about a Zelda game in Famitsu ? The next time we'll heard of Zelda U, it will be in a Direct, this october/november or in January.

I don't think the discourse is, at all, absurd. While I starkly disagree with the sentiments that Aonuma is bad at his job, he is not, it's been near 11 months since the last time we've gotten any info of consequence on it. It's rediculus. The delay was bad, but the utter lack of even a fucking title at this point is unacceptable.

Oh yeah of course the communication concerning Zelda U is a disaster (the Nintendo communication this year is globally awful), but I don't see why someone would expect any news in Famitsu. I mean, it's Famitsu, only third party 3DS & Vita games got announcement there.

You said itself, "The problem with this comparision is that at this time we had from TP 3 trailers, a logo, a name and demos, while from the new one we have a 40 seconds teaser and a couple of minutes from off-screen footage that doesn't look as good as the teaser.

Why we didn't see anything similar for Zelda U if its game was finished and delayed only to be launched on NX too!? I think they really delayed game because they couldn't finish this year, not just because of NX. Of course it's not move completely to NX.

I hate to say, but there's a rumor about the delay. I'll try to look for the source, but that rumor says something like this:

Testers tried the game, and they found to be boring. Specially 2 parts: overworld and NPC's. The quote was something like it was not funny to travel around the world going from dungeon to dungeon. Also, NPC's were bland and don't have any effect in the story or progression, a issue that was more evident after Majora's Mask 3D. That was a big reason to delay.

I don't want to believe this because I still have hope that Aonuma is not as terrible as this. 4 years and the only thing he can develop is a bland title? No, I refuse to believe.

Well Aounuma did said this:

"In these last three months, as the team has experienced first-hand the freedom of exploration that hasn't existed in any Zelda game to date, we have discovered several new possibilities for this game."

"As we have worked to turn these possibilities into reality, new ideas have continued to spring forth, and it now feels like we have the potential to create something that exceeds my own expectations," he added. "As I have watched our development progress, I have come to think that rather than work with meeting a specific schedule as our main objective, and releasing a game that reflects only what we can create within that scheduled time, I feel strongly that our focus should be to bring all these ideas to life in a way that will make Zelda on Wii U the best game it can possibly be."
