The farewell party Konami doesn't acknowledge that happened.

I can't decide which is worse - Kojima speculations threads or NX speculations threads.

Speculations about Kojima working on NX games.

Speculations that NX is actually a pachinko machine using Nintendo/Konami crossover themes.

There's actually nothing in this photo to indicate that it is a farewell or even that it is a party for Kojima. All we have is a jounalists word that an source inside Konami has said this is Kojima's farewell party. It might just be the secretary's birthday morning tea.

It is the flimsiest of evidence on which to base an article saying Kojima is gone from Konami. But then game "journalim" has never been one to comprehensively fact check. Normally before releasing a megaton story in normal jouornalism you want at least 2 additional independant corroborating sources in order to be confident the story is factual and not speculative or even false.

Do we have any corroborating evidence of Kojima's departure or is this all there is?

Its juyst a spin. Kojima has a no compete clause untill December. Technically he still is an employee; hes being paid and on vacation; he cant make any games with other firms till December.

This ...

It's not until December that Kojima will be delisted as an employee/contractor and that's when he'll likely be receiving his last paycheck too ...

I dunno, that touching good bye in the form of a final debriefing for MGSV? I mean, if Kojima says he isn't going to work on MGS anymore in the wake of termination rumors, then yeah. He's probably leaving, and that's probably a farewell party.

Konami pls

"Just for comparison Uncharted 4 was 20x bigger than Splatoon 2. This shows the huge difference between Sony's first-party games and Nintendo's first-party games."

maybe Konami saw the money from miscrotransactions and sales of MGS5 and decided differently?

I have absolutely no faith in Konami, so i'm inclined to trust this dude more than them. They lie and spin things all the time.

That explains why he couldn´t get other emplyment until december.

He probably took his final days in the company as his vacation days that probably built up during the summer.
