I wish it had more colors. While you see pretty much every single grain of dust on the white model, the black model is just one giant fingerprint magnet, so both are pretty meh for me.

I can't really fathom why Nintendo made only black and white wii u...Because 3DS family is overly fragmented with colour slections,even the newly New 3ds xl has already four colours...WTF!

Although,in wii era black and white were again the mains,but  we got (few but enough)other colour variants,even late...

For wii u,I don't see it anymore!N64 AND GAMECUBE Nintendo's home console color paradise... ;)

I prefer the white one, it looks really good to me. It's just that the GamePad looks horrible on that set-up and it only comes with 8GB of space.

Either way, I'm fine with black. The Wii U being as small as it is, it just blends in.

It doesn't really matter to me since the Wii U is ugly in any color. Wish they went for a nicer looking console.

I'm personally hoping the NX looks more like an Apple TV or something now that it doesn't have to factor a disk drive into its form. I want something visually striking. And hopefully customizable in some way like the N3DS.

I have to point out that once again,your utter certainty/self-confidence/lack of cautiouness is killing me but even if you're right(It could happen by  having a slot for catridges/momory card containing the game, disposed at retail or being  digital only relying on intergral memory or external memory,i prefer the first between them)how the powerful components of a home console gets/needs nowadays would take in a device like apple tv...

Okay disk drive isn't only responsible for wiiu size,look the motherboard...Remove the disk drive(And still you would have two and half apple tv devices),would the remaining components fit on this thing(could wii u motherboard be like apple tv and still have the same components?):

Where the f@ck would the cooling fan be placed...?An ultra-slim liquid cooling system...? Do you care for the size only,or for thickness too?

Compare Wii u size to xbox one and ps4,you should be happy with the fact that it's way smaller than them...

I like both, but as mentioned by other posters... I hate fingerprints, so white for me.
