Yeah, check the boot order. It's probably not set to boot from whatever you're trying to boot from (mass storage, e.g. HDD, DVD/Blu-ray, USB).

The windows SSD has to be on the other ports, than SATA 0/1. Usually it tries to engage raid mode on those. It's why those are colored different. Plug it into the other ports that are not labled 0 or 1. If you don't have raid setup and configed. And the drive pre-formated. It will act as it's not being detected.
