After your first month drop the price to 99 cents. Push the game WW on Wii U. After a year put it on Steam. Follow what I suggested on miiverse. It is a great start, and could have been a lot of fun with some more ideas and time put into it. The controls certainly are not bad, and for what I am looking t the visuals are just fine. But there has to be more. Let me ask something, what is the warp function for? Seems like it brings me to another area, but the area looks exactly like the area I was just at. Is there a goal to the game? At least with an endless runner you have the possibility of dying and then posting your high score. Here it seems like you just keep shooting 90's grade visual 3D objects forever. You cannot die, you cannot do anything but shoot the objects and absorb red light that does nothing. Correct? When I say it is a great start, I mean it is a great start like Links bedroom was a great start to OoT. But if he never left his room it never would have been a game. Just a cool starring at room in a tree app. Hopefully my 3 bucks paid for you budget. |
Saw your post on Miiverse Ryan - thanks for the support/purchase.
Points you raised in Miiverse
"Automatic bullets with more accuracy" - I feel this would make the game too easy. Missiles are already "fire-and-forget" (once locked on target) so I would prefer if laser shots are unguided/require some skill.
"Varying environments" - There are already 10 levels/environments in the game. I felt it wouldn't make much sense making them all available (to "wrap to") from the beginning. I may add more with an update though.
Wrap function
After you complete a level (destroy 100 cubes) it's unlocked and can be selected using the right D-PAD direction, which basically cycles between the completed levels/environments. (10 levels are available once unlocked)
Goal
The goal is to destroy the targets in each level as fast as possible.
There is no Miiverse integration, but when you achieve a new record (at the end of the level) you can capture a screenshot and post it in Miiverse.
Red orbs
As explained in the game manual, red orbs dropped by destroyed targets are your missile ammunition. (1 orb = 1 missile)
Gameflow
It takes me around 4 minutes to complete a level. For example: 1st level completed/warping to 2nd one: https://youtu.be/R35uWvL5R40?t=252
I usually destroy the first 50 targets using the laser gun, and then destroy the remaining 50 with the obtained missiles.
The whole point of the game is to master controlling/moving your ship, while at the same time aiming/firing lasers/missiles.
