Inspired by a previous thread...

Currently, the Xbox One has exceeded sales of its predecessor, the Xbox 360, when comparing the current lifespan of the One with the same lifespan of the 360 from the 360's launch.  Given the lack of sales/popularity of the Xbox One outside of North America, when do you predict worldwide sales of the Xbox One  to trickle to the point where it falls below Xbox 360 sales.....?

Probably 2019 technically if we are comparing year by year. Because 2019 is when we are getting new consoles and that would be 360's 2011 year.

We don't even know the real numbers..... Why even bother...

2017 or early 2018

It likely won't be till 2016. The X360's holiday in 2007 was selling just under the same amount the Xbox One was last holiday, and more than likely it will sell more this holiday than 2014, so it'll keep a solid lead into 2016. After 2016, I think the 360 will catch up.

Globally in the US does not apply.

When MS stop using Xbox One ahead of Xbox 360 in the NPD results, we can be sure Xbox360 overtook Xbox One

I'd need proper graphs to think about it.. A random guess would say between late 2016 and mid 2017

I'm more interested in what Phil's future marketing shorthand will be when it happens.
