Is it 40% in one day or for the whole week? It looks like he's saying that on friday the 360 sold 40% more than last week.
Did it:
A: Sell 40% more than the previous friday.
B: Sell 40% more than the previous week as a whole.
C: Sell 40% more than the previous week in just 1 day-friday.

we already have to answer where come from the "40%" :
A: Sell 40% more than the previous friday.
B: Sell 40% more than the previous week as a whole.
C: Sell 40% more than the previous week in just 1 day-friday.

and then we could say if VGC is undertracking or not.

Besides the price cuts .. someone posted a while ago some amazing bundles that many shops were putting in the UK so i think that helps too

These bundle dont exist outside of UK

and it was something like 210£ for PREMIUM + assassin creed + Halo3 + vivapinata

For me, 40% is not that good. Actually it's pretty bad for the first weekend after a 100 Euro price cut. Also UK > rest of Europe so it will most likely be less than 40% boost outside UK.

On top of all that GT5P will be release in 2 or 3 weeks and that will push the PS3 way ahead again.

MS is betting a lot with 100 euro price drop to stay competitive in Europe but if this 40% boost proves to be correct they will lose their bet.

...so you are guys are saying a 40% increase from the previous weeks sales after only having the price cut for 2 days(Fri/Sat) is a bad thing??? sure.....

 I agree, the price cut helped but not much and if it only helps in 1 or 2 countries than it's really not that great.
