To be fair though, if a Platinum fan was really dedicated to their games, they would have to own all three home consoles, lol.

It should definitely give it a boost, but I wouldn't count on it saving the system. It would need to be a cult phenomenon to do that, and very few games can achieve that status in Japan.

that's why I don't get why MS doesn't buy cult jap animation licenses to turn into exclusive games... There are tones they could monetize to come hard in Japan and even world wide... Imagine an evangelion action game, ghost in the shell action RPG, samourai shamploo RPG, captain arlock, tons of other are just waiting to be picked up... Would change from an other yugi yo ,Pokemon, Naruto, dragon ball rehash
