Konami have simply concluded that for a game like MGS4, the hardcore will pay what they have too, and as the system has no casuals, they don't have to worry about it until the userbase expands and then they'll drop the price.
Konami is screwing gamers, but it makes good business sense. |
Hahaha. So much for everything you say being based on fact. You are nothing but a fanboy. |
How about you respond to my post with a counter-argument, rather than personal attacks that do nothing to harm the argument I made, but make you look foolish? |
How aboutyou respond to the thread with relevant information to begin with? Rather than your fanboy biased view? All it does is make you look foolish. In case you didn't know why I said that it because of "it is safe to assume that 99.9% of the fanbase is hardcore", assume? Beleive what you want in your little fanboy haven. I thought I didn't have to point that out because I think it's as clear as day and probably ever other member does too. Take off the fanboy shutters. Even a monkey if thought to read could notice that. |
So you are arguing that casual gamers regularly pay $400+ for a system? |
How can you know that they don't? Care to back up what you said in the first post? I bought a PS3 before I a hardcore gamer. Just because the majority of casual gamers buy the Wii doesn't mean that's all that they buy. I would guess that the console with the most hardcore gamers is xbox. Look how their arcade model is selling. And that is designed for casual gamers. I wouldn't have replied if you didn't keep denying being a fanboy. You arguments aren't as logical as you think. I am biased towards PS3 but if someone has a good argument I will agree with them. You on the other hand do not. |
Wel I would've thought it was commonly accepted common sense that casual gamer wouldn't pay $400 for a system with only a few good hardcore games and only 1 good casual game (Singstar) that is available on a $99 system.
Once again with the Arcade, the 360 doesn't have nearly the casual library of the cheaper PS2 and Wii, so common sense can be applied.
But then again, as I think Voltaire said, "common sense is not so common."
