That controller is hard to look at. I remember trying to use it. Its freaking horrible.

Psh, the Duke was glorious for men with big hands. I laugh at the tiny hands of people who didn't like it.

I have big hands. Indeed very big hands. And i disliked the hell out of it. Especially the buttons. After some rounds of DoA my thumb started to hurt. Never happened with a PS controller and Tekken or Dreamcast pad and Soul Calibur. NEVER!

But even if you consider popular names in the popular genre, games that review well, xb360 is ahead of xb1 right now and remain to be seen if in the next 3 to 4 year, it will change.  Yes, I dont give remasters much credit, 2 reasons, one because they are made to fill up the gap for the absence of mainline games and second because they never feel as fresh as the first time.  Remasters for me are an easy way out to improve the library, in this case, 360 deserved the bigger credit even if remasters play better.

To be honest, I completely disagree  with your mentality of "no need to have similar games in the same genre ", if this the case, then there is no point in making sequel since they practically play the same, looks almost the same.   No need for forza 7 or horizon 3 or no need for Dark souls 3 since we already have DS2.  Besides, my memory might be a little bit off but PGR felt a bit different in the racing mechanics.  Also forza cover racing simulation, horizon combine simulation/arcade feeling with more open tracks, I dont see why not PGR wouldnt be suitable for those who like 100% arcade racing with close tracks.  I am sure it will find an audience as well.  Of course I am concernig about quantity of ip, the more the merrier as long as there is something that distinguish them.  With more power I am sure they can come up with something unique.

I agree with your last sentence, its hard to consider the original as the best xbox console but that is not on me to determine that.

I'm not saying X1 has the superior library right now, I'm saying two years in X1 already has a good number of games that trounces most of 360's library.  The X1 may still have 8 years of great games coming as well. So down the road, there will be people that believe X1 has a better library than 360. But fans of niche games will be partial to 360.

Regardless of your gripes with remasters, they help make a library of a newer console better. Halo:MCC increased the value of X1 because it gave us a superior way to play those games (still some of the best online games). MCC also devalued the 360's Halo games because they are inferior in comparison. Hence, I'm just talking about how impact a library as a whole, not your personal feelings. Remember, those remasters are sometimes how millions of people will experience a game for the first time.

No, sequels are fine. Especially when the sequel does something new or makes significant improvments to its predecessor.

PGR is a pretty standard track racing game that simply put a focus on drifting. By today's standard, PGR4 feels bad. The Forza Horizon series is much better than PGR ever was. Frankly, they could just make Forza side series that fills whatever void people want from PGR. Again, they could call it Forza: PGR. Forza sim games and Horizon are very different experiences even though they use much of the same tech and resources.

Which is like you said before, its down to preferences.  Since I am making the assumption that this gen will be short, I feel like that alone will give the edge to 360 in the end but its just an assumption which means I might be wrong, hence why I said in my first comment that I doubt even xb1 would be it.  Hard to predict the future.  I do like remasters, heve bought some actually but in my personal criteria in evaluating library, remasters arent at the same level as new games. Dont feel like I am imposing my preferences because I am not.

I would also argue that it was the most original. Very unique library compared to the other systems of its time.

Nobody's perfect. I aint nobody!!!

Killzone 2. its not a fps. it a FIRST PERSON WAR SIMULATOR!!!! ..The true PLAYSTATION 3 launch date and market dominations is SEP 1st

Well the 360 was around for about 8 years until X1 hit the market. X1 can certainly be around 6 more years. I mean 7th gen consoles still have the specs to push out some quality games. 8th gen consoles are significantly more powerful and haven't shown their full potential. Also, I don't think Sony and MS want to launch new machines anytime soon.

The thing is X1 has remasters of popular 360 games and new games. Remasters and new games both bolster the library as a whole.
