Depends on your preference.

X1 already has great stuff that trounces most of 360's library.

uhhh maybe the games in general? XBL? Achievements? XBLA?

Why should he have to even explain, 360 has a bigger and arguably better library. It's no surprise on why people think the 360 is better, why are you so shocked?

OG xbox had XBLive and Xbox Live arcade and supported patches and dlc as well like with star wars battlefront. The 360 has more games but most of them are multiplats.

You have to look at the timeframe, the OG xbox was way more powerfull and innovative for its time than the 360 was. and if we talk about the library we have to view it more like PS3/360 vs PS2/Xbox. Most of the important games from that generation got the first xbox.

OG XBOX had like 5 XBLA games? The point I'm trying to make is that the 360 expanded on every feature the OG Xbox had and made it better. 360 not only has more multiplats but it has more exclusives.

I honestly don't care for power, sure the OG Xbox innovated but like I said 360 did everything better. Achievements, the new XBL experience, the whole media hub. I'd actually argue the 360 innovated even more than the original Xbox.

I'm not even sure what you mean here, "most important games from that generation got the first xbox". If you're talking about "imprtant games" coming to the Xbox (OG) the 360 trounces that in every imaginable way.

Either way, we're entitled to our opinion. I'm just saying it's hardly shocking how someone can prefer the 360 over the original Xbox.

That's true that its depend on preference but I still doubt xb1 will match the variety of genres xb360 manage to collect in the 8 to 9 years on the market.  IMO its at the same level as the ps2.  I dont see xb1 lasting that long.

Well the industry has changed a lot. We don't see as much variety in console gaming period. It seems like the indie scene is filling those voids. Japan is playing it safe and just making more of the same.

By the way, variety isn't synonymous with great games. The games I'd generally recommomend from last gen are in popular genres.

I know but having a better variety of games can increase the chances of providing games for eveyone.  The point is to satisfy everyone needs and that vary from person to person.  That's where 360 shine last gen.

I think the X1 is doing that though, it has variety. Its also fair to say that X1 will trounce the 360 various genres.

Look at it this way. PS1 had unique stuff PS2 didn't have. PS2 had unique stuff PS3 didn't have. Patterns like this will continue. Even OG Xbox had notable stuff that many of us never played.

I disagree that xb1 will trounce it for the reason I mentioned before like being longer of the market.  I have no doubt is and will be a good xbox console but I feel xb360 will be the best MS console when its all said and done and I am taliking about the whole library.  Xb360 had more than enough of the popular genre as well as good support from niche title such as JRPG game.  Doubt xb1 is gonna match that.  You are free to disagree.

I don't think so... it's probably the Xbox 360. It was well balanced and pretty advanced for the time. It also helped bringing many of the modern gaming trends, which can be good or bad, depending on your point of view. :P

Bet with Teeqoz for 2 weeks of avatar and sig control that Super Mario Odyssey would ship more than 7m on its first 2 months. The game shipped 9.07m, so I won

Again, X1 will trounce 360 in various genres, certainly not all.

JRPG support on Xbox has gone down but still exist. Either way, that's a genre that has become significantly less relevant on home consoles, period. The indie scene has more relevance than JRPGs on consoles.

Exclusive wise, that might be true, whole library, really doubt it.  Xb360 has more than enough of the popular genre which again that's due to being longer on the market.  Also the point isnt if xb1 will trounce xb360 in various genre, the point is who is the better xbox console overall and to determine that, both popular games as well as niche title have to be considered and that include JPRG games. Xb360 > xb1 in the majority of the genres.  JRPG becoming less relevant is irrelevant IMO, the point is which console has the higher chance of providing something for everyone and IMO that is xb360 right now and to be honest , dont see it changing.
