Eshop releases are killing it in Japan this year.....

Probably. It might actually be better for you to create a new thread so we can have all the informative posts consecutively. Ask the mods what they think first though.

Probably already 50K for Mario Maker. I'm not sure if it will pass Mario Kart 8 or not. 

 

We have some digital estimates for Mario Kart and Dragon Quest, but they are very out of date.

Do we have any digital estimates for the US? I thought I recalled NPD giving them out occasionally, but I could be misremembering.

Famitsu tracks some digital sales in Japan, starting sometime last year. It's apparently accurate because they nailed splatoon(sort of). 

 

As far as Meme Run and the likes, it would probably be up to the publisher to share. We can only estimate based on the rankings. We have some US numbers of retail games because of NPD, but from there it's all speculation.
