Bumped for awareness

Lol, it's like the reverse of Nintendos reasoning for excluding online multiplayer from their games.

I've seen a couple of people here hoping for Micro and Nintendo uniting forces in the videogame console market. Maybe they would balance each other out that way.

Never gonna happen though.

Would ms include online and nintendo local... or would nintendo remove online and ms local?

"We see the robustness of what Xbox Live is today and where people are playing across Xbox Live--you at your house, me at our house. We know that's the vast majority of the co-op play"

How do you know? Is Microsoft is spying on people to know what they play, even if they play offline modes?

Aye, how he is tracking all of the offline co-op play amazes me. Can he tell my gaming habbits on the N64 too?

I wouldn't consider impossible that games have some sort of cookies that when connected would transmit... this is how they count the "Millions of zombies killed".

Or since they don't make split-screen anymore they know people don't play it.

I think Nintendo would provide local while Micro would focus on online. :P

But in a Nintendo/Micro fusion I am kind of more concerned about whether Master Chief will let go green for red and work to gun down Koopa Troopa. :P

Or if Bowser would hire him as bodyguard and Mario would jump on his head.

I guess nobody is actually going to read what he said. We're just ready to disagree with him.

Uh.. can you not see what is going on? He doesn't like VR because it removes the local social aspect of gaming, so OBVIOUSLY every single game MS releases on his watch now must include split screen co op or he is a huuuuuuuuuuuge hypocrite! Quit being reasonable and grab a pitchfork.

Nope... it isn't because Halo 5 doesn't have it... is his reasoning saying people don't play locally anymore. This is what contradicts his VR statement.

We've seen decades of how deadly Mario's feet on enemies heads are, so Master Chieft would be pretty much done.

The amount of people I've played with on gears of war, who had a couch coop partner on their team was quite large. Going online with a mate sitting next to you was a blast, and in my experience I was not alone in doing this

You're rewording exactly what I said, so I am not sure where the "Nope" comes in to play.

And there was no contradiction. He literally said they analyzed data and realized people don't play local co-op as much as they play online co-op now. If he'd said the opposite, and they still took it out, then you'd have your contradiction. In reality though it's just a laughable reach.

But Spencer always makes the crowd go wild.

SO if people don't mp locally anymore his VR won't be successfull lose a lot of weught, don't you think?
